Beschäftigungszeit berechnen bzw. programmieren mit Java oder VBA

Hallo liebe Leute,

bin Neuling was Programmierung angeht aber habe trotzdem eine wichtige Aufgabe.
Es sind folgende Daten vorhanden:
- Vorbeschäftigungszeit in Tag, Monat und Jahr z.B. 11 Tage, 2 Monate und 3 Jahre
- Aktuelle Beschäftigungszeit: Tag, Monat, Jahr
Hier muss ich berechnen Anhand eines Einstellungsdatums z.B. 10.01.2012 bis heute

Nun brauche ich die gesamte Beschäftigungszeit in Tag, Monat und Jahr. Wie kann ich es machen? Es gibt ja Schaltjahr und jeden Monat dauert ja auch nicht 30 Tage. Damit es ganzgenau richtig berechnet wird?

Wie wäre es wenn du erst die Vollbeschäftigungszeit als Sekunden berechnest. Genauso auch die Aktuelle. Dann kannst du beiden addieren und daraus Tag, Monat und Jahr berechnen.
