ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server, Hosteurope

Hallo zusammen,

manchmal, wenn ich mich auf meinem Hosteurope VServer einlogge, um meine E-Mails zu lesen, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

"ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server"

Was soll ich machen und woran könnte es liegen?

Möglicherweise hast du eine niedrige Anzahl an MAXDAEMONS erlaubt.

Du kannst mit vim die imapd Datei Ändern.
vim /etc/courier-imap/imapd
MAXDAEMONS von 40 auf 80 oder höher setzen.

... ##NAME: MAXDAEMONS:0 # # Maximum number of IMAP servers started #

MAXDAEMONS=80

##NAME: MAXPERIP:0
#
# Maximum number of connections to accept from the same IP address

MAXPERIP=50
...

Danach musst du natürlich IMAP Service neustarten

/etc/init.d/courier-imap stop /etc/init.d/courier-imap start
