Gratis E-Mail Software? Microsoft Outlook oder Mozilla Thunderbird?

Hallo zusammen, ich bin auf der Suche nach einem guten E-Mail-Software. Bis jetzt habe ich eigentlich nur Webmail genutzt und nun möchte ich eine Software nutzen. Was könnt ihr mir empfehlen? Welchen Vorteil haben eigentlich e-Mail-Software gegenüber Webmail?

Auf jeden Fall Mozilla Thunderbird! Es kostet nichts, funktioniert zuverlässig, wird dauernd weiterentwickelt und vor allem, es kostet nichts. Ach ja, und man unterstützt damit Open Source Projekte, damit man nicht auf Monopolisten wie Microsoft angewiesen ist.
