Java Lambda

Hey Leute,

kann mir jemand erklären was "Java Lambda" bedeuten soll? Bei der Entwicklung habe ich gemerkt, dass ein InfoFenster erscheint und auf dem werde ich darauf hingewiesen, dass man "Runnable" durch "Java Lambda" ersetzen kann.

Habe davon bisher nichts gehört, kann mir jemand erklären wofür das verwendet wird, vielleicht mit einem kleinen Tutorial?
