Upload Size per .htaccess ändern löst 500 Internal Server Error aus

In meiner .htaccess-Datei habe ich folgende Zeilen hinzugefügt, um Upload_Size in Drupal zu ändern:
php_value upload_max_filesize 50M php_value post_max_size 50M

Leider verursacht das einen Fehler und zwar "500 Internal Server Error". Was mache ich falsch?

Es scheint in ordnung zu sein. Was für ein Server? Vielleicht passende Apache Module ist nicht freigeschaltet.
