TrueCrypt alternativen gesucht, weil TrueCrypt unsicher ist. Egal ob Open-Source oder kostenpflichtig...

Hallo, laut Heise und Golem ist Truecrypt unsicher. Diese Meldung steht auf Truecrpyt.org: WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure as it may contain unfixed security issues

Welche Alternativen gibt es? Bitlocker wird empfohlen aber es ist weder gratis noch open-source. Ein Software, welche ähnliche Funktionen wie TrueCrypt bietet, ist dringend gesucht. Man muss Container-Files erstellen aber auch gesamte Drive verschlüsseln können.

Bitlocker ist von Microsoft und nicht Open Source, ich denke nicht, dass es sicherer ist als Truecrypt. Außerdem haben die Programmier von Truecrypt keine Lust mehr die Software zu pflegen, deswegen habe sie es gechrieben. Das bedeutet nicht, dass Truecrypt jetzt unsicher ist. Man sollte darauf achten, dass man Algorithmen wie AES oder 3DES verwendet und nicht mehr DES, da DES leicht zu knacken ist.

Nachfolger von Truecrypt ist Veracrypt. Der ist auch kompatibel mit Truecrypt und sieht sehr ähnlich aus. Daher muss man sich nicht umgewöhnen.
