"Dieser Verbindung wird nicht vertraut" - Firefox Zertifikatswarnung von Hotmail

"Dieser Verbindung wird nicht vertraut" Meldung bekomme ich, wenn ich mich bei Hotmail (Live) einloggen möchte. Danach bin ich gezwungen die Seite zu verlassen.

Da Hotmail selber nicht Zertifikate fälschen würde, habe ich Verdacht, dass ein Man-In-The-Middle mein E-Mail lesen will. Obwohl es die Mühe nicht wert ist, kann es passieren, dass jemand Inhalte über SSL-HTTPS lesen will.

Wie kann ich sicher sein, was wirklich im Hintergrund passiert? Oder ist es nur eine harmlose technische Warnung, die unnötige Panik verursacht?

Eine verdächtige Datei auf Virus/Trojan scannen (online + kostenlos)

Ich habe eine nützliche Software gefunden. Aber keine Informationen über Hersteller sind vorhanden und auch keine Bewertungen kann ich online finden. Es könnte eine Trojaner sein. Deswegen möchte ich es scannen. Ich habe nur kostenlose Avira. Avira und Awast sind nicht die besten. Ich möchte online mit Norton, Kaspersky, PCcilin, panda usw scannen lassen. Wie mache ich das mit wenig Aufwand?
